Saab is even improving... Posted by PGAero [Email] (#1143) [Profile/Gallery] (more from PGAero) on Thu, 13 May 2004 11:41:11 In Reply to: 9-2x personal epiphany, Dan in NY, Thu, 13 May 2004 11:18:18 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
on the suspension and gear box. Some suspension parts are going to aluminum rather than the subie's steel, spring and shock rates are being improved in the name of better handling, and the steering rack is Saab-specific for improved steering feel and response (a quicker ratio than the WRX). If I was thinking about a new car, the $3000 additional for a Saab/euro-style interior, reduced road noise (There's more sound insulation in the Saab), a longer warranty, free 2-years maintenance (I think) and the performance improvements I'd take a nice long look at the 9-2X. Subie is selling a lot of WRX's, and I think that the 9-2X could do well...

drove a friend's WRX once, liked it...like the solid Saab quality in my 9000, not to mention the price of a used saab vs a new anything.
