Just leaving NOLA after a long weekend redezvous with friend. All pleasure. No biz. MSY is a T-mobile hotspot, so life is good.

Went mainly for music, but food was a close second.

Acme Oyster bar for the place to suck crawdads. Touristy, but very tasty and probably no worries about freshness.

Fiorella's on Decatur for crawfish pies. Decent cup o' gumbo. Very informal.

Had best real meal at Dick and Jennies at 4501 Tchoupitoulas. A cab ride from the Quarter. But worth it. No reservations. One of the great meals.

Commanders Palace was up to usual standards. Trio of soups as starter blew me away.

Just like with BBQ, any opinion on restaurants is valid. Just be prepared to defend it!
