A subtle message that many don't get..
When you are in the passing lane, your speed relative to the speed limit should be (mostly) irrelevant. It's your speed relative to those behind you and in the right lane that's important.
Example- I see hundreds (thousands maybe) of drivers each month who must consider 68 mph in a 65 zone 'sufficient' for the left lane, even though they are creeping up on the cars a half-mile ahead in the center lane at the rate of one foot per minute. This, with ten cars lined up behind going 69-72, all apparently unwilling or afraid of passing in the center lane.
