I was told by the local SAAB dealer that they used to get a lot of business from people who had rented SAABs from Enterprise (they don't rent them locally here anymore though) and liked them so much they bought one. This dealer was disappointed that the local Enterprise doesn't rent them anymore.
I rent cars all the time (in fact I have a rental right now!) and would LOVE to rent a SAAB, but even if I could, I'm sure it's in the "luxury" category and there's no way I can get my company to spring for that kind of unnecessary expense. I can only rent mid-size or smaller. I currently have a burgandy Hyundai Sonata from Hertz (mid-size). Bummer.
OT: Just saw a new BMW 120 (1-series) here in Ensenada today! 2-liter 4-cylinder 4-door small coupe. Costs about the same here as a 9-3 costs in the States ($25K to $30K).
