Thanks Jae. I'm trying to be more careful not to force it into gear.
Are there optimal speeds at which to shift? Not that I would ever drive my car this way, but I remember my brother telling about a way that you can engage gears without using the clutch. The trick is to find the speed at which the rotational speed of the wheels and gears is the same, and it should slip right in.... or something similar to that. It seems like shifting (WITH the clutch) at these points would minimize stress on the synchros.
