Of course, in my opinion, motorcycles have gone the way of cars. They have more power than necessary (ergo consume more resources & create more waste) to do what they need to do: move people! From a conservation standpoint, are they better than cars? Sure. But how far do you live from your work?
Sorry, I don't want to get up on a green soapbox in the middle of your thread! :-) I know you'll have fun on your new bike. Please tell us you've already bought the appropriate gear, & maybe even decided to take M.O.S.T. classes. Let me just say that I think more folks should bicycle. And that I feel my $600 spent on a 72cc scooter was a better buy than your Kawawsaki (& apparently cooler, judging by the responses of the women at my work). :-D
