so don't rush a career change into this field. I have a friend who works for this suburban dealer group and he told me that they actually pay their mechanics less than another dealer group in the city - this dealer is obviously making a LOT of money on service! When I have stopped there for parts for my 9000, I have seen very few "older" SAABs there (no 9000s my last visit), nor do they stock many 9000-specific parts, I usually have to order what I need - even basics like exhaust hangers. I think that their business model is geared towards warranty work and cars just out of warranty. Just as well, as I have a great independent shop that is even closer to my house, and they charge significantly less.
