maybe you are right about the flipping. I'll try one and see how it goes. There are several coats of paint on the walls, and they are hardcoat plaster, so that's probably a pretty good barrier.
The front of my house, the roof is only about 15 foot off the ground. But on the rear, with the slope on the hill, it's about 30 feet. Ouch. I do have a small flat extension over one part of the house, which is where I will setup to install the vent.
My old man has some roof jacks, might have to go with that. OR a lanyard setup. In my young man days, I was a carpenter and hung many a truss (commercial construction) standing on a 2x4 about 60ft off the ground. wonder if I still "got it".......
as for the basement, It is 3/4 finished, I have an office/gym down there. That part is nice and warm. I am planning on furring out the rest of the exterior walls and insulating and boarding probably in the next month or so. Right now, my master bathroom is gutted waiting for some drywall work, so I gotta get on that before my wife shanks me one of these mornings.
I live in suburban Pittsburgh, so the weather is starting to get chilly. I hope to tackle the insulation this weekend.
Where do you live Jim?
