OT: Putnam Poor Fund Performance Roth IRA Posted by Caarma [Email] (#592) [Profile/Gallery] (more from Caarma) on Wed, 10 May 2006 14:01:39 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
So I had rolled over a small amount from a 401K to a Roth IRA at Putnam into the New Opportunities fund in 1995, then that sky-rocketed then tanked and then leveled off, hardly budging. A couple of years ago I split it into two other funds and those barely move while stocks overall have been doing very well over the last couple of years. It could be related to that scandal, but I don't care. I'm just not happy with Putnam.
I want to transfer the money out of Putnam into another company. Can I do it into an existing (Fidelity) 401K at a former employer or into my existing employer's (Vanguard) 401K? Or do I have to start a new Roth IRA account somewhere else? I want to make sure I do not have to pay any penalties.
Thanks in advance,
- Atul
