They sent SAAB to a small stand alone location. That actually itself is potentially very good. It was clear the sales end for SAAB was lacking the last couple years. Salepeople no longer knew the brand. They were barely putting the cars on the floor (one convertible for weeks during the winter in a corner off the main floor for example). No love. SAAB USA should have been on their case.
Bad news is after the move still no love. They stuck SAAB in a small old building they didn't even do anything at all to fix up and remodel. If I am looking at the place right the shop area is what is really distrubing. Although maybe I am wrong and service is still at another location b/c I didn't really see any customer cars and no techs were around but it was noon. If it is this location any decent tech would find a better place to work. BMW, AUDI, MB, Porsche all recently got great new places. No respect at all for the brand. Certainly doesn't look European premium in any way. More run down last chance used car. Even worse everything with the SAAB dealership has turned over. Their fantastic service advisor is gone, they had some very good mechanics in the past that are gone (but that doesn't mean the current aren't I just don't know). The sales folks are all new and still don't know the cars or even their own inventory.
It is just sad. SAAB was a strong brand around here at it's height. They basically said they couldn't compete against MB, BMW, Audi and the like any longer. I don't think they were making the best try over the last year or so but how far things have fallen.
