In colder weather I eat a daily grapefruit, the really big ones the size of your head. I rarely get colds. Is there a link? Dunno. I also heat a lot of yogurt, who knows if that helps. Recent research has shown that consuming nutrients outside of the foods the come in is much less effective than eating the food straight (this was written up in the wall st journal a few weeks ago...I think, might have been the nyt) Flaxseed and fish oils and their omega-3 fatty acids help the immune system too.
Also get exercise, both weights and cardio (or both at once, see http://www.russiankettlebells.com for one way). Get plenty of sleep. Wash your hands a lot, use tissues, disinfect common area surfaces (coffee pots, sinks, etc).
It's also well-proven that productivity is greater when sick people stay home and get better. I'd suggest doing some research on this topic and presenting it to the higher ups, you never know...
