I bought a C900 convertible off eBay. I discovered the history of the car AFTER I bought it. someone had blown the headgasket and just let it sit (in FL, I believe). The sun destroyed the top and started eating the plastic in the interior (seat belt buckles mostly). The seller dropped a used engine/tranny in the car and put a new top on it. The transmission wasn't quite the right one for the car and the shift linkage wouldn't work properly. The car wouldn't get out of base boost (valve). There were all sorts of electrically gremlins (mostly one big bad ground under the radiator).
At any rate, I only paid $2K for it, but I got what I paid for, I think.
