Saab is not a luxury car

I think of a luxury car as having more features, particularly interior features than ordinary cars. Some luxury cars aren't the most advanced in terms of performance or safety.
Back in the 60's and 70's, Saabs were not luxury cars. They were practical cars with a little extra.
Now-a-days, cruise control and power windows are no longer luxury car features.
The current Saabs, or at least the mainstay 9-3, is not a luxury car, in my opinion. On the other hand, I don't want a luxury car. I want an ordinary car with some well designed performance and safety extras. In fact, I don't need ACC. MCC is fine. I don't need leather. Cloth is fine....why can't Saab import cloth seats? Are they that one track minded and can't offer it for special order and/or European delivery?
I bought my 9-3 for $22, almost $23K + tax. That's no luxury car price!
If only the 9-3 had a locking fuel door. Even cheapo Hyundais have it. In this regard, Saab is a econo-box with an un-econobox price.
