Travel Arrangements for Saab Festival 2007 Offered to US Saab Enthusiasts
The Saab Club of North America and Saab Automobile USA have teamed up to offer US Saab enthusiasts a helping hand with making travel arrangements to attend the 2007 Saab Festival in Trollhattan, Sweden, scheduled for June 7-10. This year's festival is extra special because the 60th anniversary celebration of Saab as a car maker will be an integral part of the festivities.
Current details about the Saab Anniversary Festival 2007 can be found at http://www.saabfestival.se/english/index_en.htm. The program is not finalized as of late winter, but the organizers promise it will be something exceptional. You can get a hint about what will be offered by clicking on "Programme" on the site navigation menu.
The program will be updated as activities are finally settled, but Saab's 60th anniversary will influence the whole festival, reaching its climax on Sunday - which happens to be the actual birthday. It was June 10, 1947 that the first Saab 92 was shown to the media at a press conference in Linkvping. Sunday's Grand Finale is rumored to have a number of sensational activities and happenings.
US Saab enthusiasts can make their travel arrangements for the festival by contacting Carlson Travel at their toll-free number, 800-322-7720, ext 6294 for Jill Fischer or via e-mail at link below. Jill will be familiar with the Saab Festival and is an experienced agent who can provide additional travel information for anyone who wishes to extend their trip.
A typical arrangement might include:
Round trip air travel from any place in the United States to Gothenburg, Sweden
Saab rental car booking at Gothenburg airport
Hotel booking in a choice of hotels within a 10 mile range of Trollhattan where most of the Saab Festival activities will take place.

The Festival Web site also offers information on accommodations and the area. US visitors to Sweden should know that Wednesday the 6th of June is Sweden's National Day, a public holiday, which means not very much will be open for business that day.
