As usual I waited till the last minute to do my taxes, on the road no less. While gathering my personal financial info from my bank online I realized the last time I downloaded my checking account statement was September, 2006. That can't be. Then I realized my previous download was on my last laptop but it wasn't loaded to Quicken so the time stamp was not updated. That laptop has since been reloaded with a new OS at home. So I downloaded a year worth of statements leaving a big gap between September, 06 and May, 07 which I'll have to manually fill from the printed statement. But that's not the reason of my post.
I have two complaints I am looking for options if there is one.
1. Intuit will not support Quicken 2005 after the end of this month. It is forcing customers to upgrade. I complained about this a few years ago about an earlier version of Quicken I used. At the end of the day I decided not to fight city government and upgraded. Do I have a choice now?
2. Bank of America is charging me $6.95 per month for online banking. It probably has been doing it for some time. I just wasn't paying attention. Are there banks that offer free online banking service in New Jersey with decent number of ATM's?
