Clear case of apples vs oranges.... Posted by MI-Roger [Email] (#882) [Profile/Gallery] (more from MI-Roger) on Thu, 9 Oct 2008 09:00:53 In Reply to: I know why I drive Saabs...., Wasabi, Wed, 8 Oct 2008 20:40:26 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
Two years ago I wound up with an HHR for a week when the Rental Car counter didn't have any of the generic Malibus available while on vacation. I enjoyed its small size, ease of entry for four people, and fuel frugality when doing city driving in north Florida and the Raleigh NC area, but I would not buy one to replace my 9-5.
It is basically a panel truck version of a Chevy Cobalt, and should be compared to other vehicles in that class. It is an economical city car/grocery getter with a funky exterior (that some do not like), but definitely not a luxurious, performance oriented, road car.
