There ya go -- if you're on a bike you can't risk a fender bender or paint swap.
Putting aside temper and unartfully driven motor homes, bikes are often camoed in heavy traffic, especially if they're positioned directly behind the preceding car's tail lights. In that position the bike -- depending on color, traffic and time of day -- can be hard to spot. And these days, you could be driving a cement truck, and texting cell-phone gabbers around you might not notice.
The Harleys are pretty loud. I've heard Harley riders insist their noise is a safety measure (if you don't see 'em, you might hear 'em) but he same guy doesn't wear a helmet.
Man it's risky out there, and the penalty for one dumb move can be stiff.
