That was always a clincher for me, Audis and Golfs were never that powerful that you couldn't halt a stuck wide open throttle with the brakes. The throttle sticking and the brakes failing all at the same time and both checking out fine afterward was always conclusively pedal mis-application.
But the latest Lexus incident, the Lexus having close to 300 freakin' horsepower, and the driver unable to control the car with the brakes, that seems to add another dimension.
