We've got 2 c900's... great cars, essentially zero value on the market, though as you know, they are increasingly being regarded as classic cars. I figure it's a little like when an artist dies + their paintings go up in value. I suspect the same will happen for the classics, but that said, unless a car is in pretty darn good shape, it's still just an old car that needs work (however valuable to it's owner)... resale value of the newest cars is probably now worse (scares off buyers)...
re parts... GM has already discontinued many parts for the classics, some stuff is already completely unavailable new, but there are rebuilt + oem sources + junkyards and many classic parts have enough beef in them to be fixable anyway. The newer cars are another story, but at least have 10 years of parts availability (9-5, NG 9-3 + some parts on og9-3 common with 9-5)...
I'm really hoping this can be turned around somehow, that somebody (good) steps in...
