Test drive an Odyssey, (or as I refer to ours, the Bama-Built-Baby-Bus). They handle amazingly well (supposedly the Honda engineers used a BMW 7-series as a benchmark). If you get the EX-L or higher you also get cylinder deactivation. And depending on the level there is an 8 passenger option.
Honda uses the same platform for the Odyssey/Pilot/Ridgeline/MDX
While there is talk of Honda dealers not dealing on Odyesseys/Pilots, try using a car purchase program such as through a Credit Union or Costco... we tried both... both were $500 under invoice, (used Costco as their dealership had the exact vehicle we wanted on the lot & the other didn't).
