According to The SAAB History site, SAAB has been given a deadline to find a buyer,
General Motors Gives Saab 3-Months To Find Buyer
December 29th, 2008 by Ryan - 1 Comments
According to the newspaper, Borsen in Denmark, they claim that “General Motors is now giving Saab Automobile 3-Months To Find Buyer, in discussing this with Eric Geers, Global Communications for Saab Automobile AB in Sweden.”
The 3-month timeframe is when General Motors needs to report back to the White House and United States Treasury to tell them how they are using the recent loan money wisely.
We can confirm this information with what GM’s Mark LaNeve recently indicated, that Saab is to sold by March, so three months from now, we’ll see what Saab Automobile’s new owners are.
In terms of who Saab Automobile’s Owners may be, the polls at the time of this posting state that my visitors believe that BMW will be the owner, followed by FIAT, Opel, PSA, Other then TATA at dead last.
It’s truly sad that General Motors is now giving Saab Automobile marching orders for all of what they’ve done for GM over the years, and what’s more, telling them that they need to do it in less than 90-days.
