Are you looking to upgrade to something larger, or replace a non-working (non-starting?) snow blower? I had a very old (1970s?) Toro S-200 2-cycle, single stage snow blower and it met my modest needs (sidewalk, walkways, garage apron on alley), so that when it was stolen out of my garage I bought another one off of Craigslist. This one came as a package deal: both units working, one frame cracked, other one the electric starter didn't work. So I put the working starter motor in the better (older) one, and have been happy since.
If your current unit was working and won't start, there is a good chance that if you throw fresh gasoline into it that it will fire right up.
Oh, and if you want a functional but ugly S-200, you are welcome to my other one - no electric starter. I'm in north suburban Chicago.
