It weighs 2300/2400 lbs has 100 horsepower and is rated 30/38 mpg. My '85 Jetta weighed 2300 lbs had 85 or 90 horsepower and I used to consistantly get 34 mpg in mixed driving. The difference is that the Jetta was a surprisingly roomy four door (more rear seat leg room than my brother's Lexus) with a big trunk. The Fiat is a cute car but it doesn't really advance the state of the art much does it? I know cars have a lot of things they didn't have back then, like air bags, etc but they're just going to have to make 'em lighter if they want to get good mileage.
