presumably though going forward with IQon, it should be able to talk to the rest of the car + therefore it should be possible to be programmed for use instead of tech2... and therefore it should be possible to make this available to owners as well, perhaps in varying levels of capability, at some nominal (hopefully cheap) price point. I would love that! and it would go a long way towards making it feasible to own a Saab in a rural area, where mechanics don't have a Tech2... and that was one of the good things about the old cars... if you can fix a tractor, you can fix a c900...
