I am not worrying that much about warping as for imprinting the pad material onto the rotors. After hard braking everything is very hot and when pressed together the parts fuse. You can easily see pad imprints on rotors after that. These areas have slightly different friction coefficient and cause pulsation when braking. I have read somewhere that ~2/3 of complaints about pulsating brakes caused by this and not by warped rotors.
