Hong Kong these days. Almost all manufacturing facilities that were in Hong Kong have been relocated across the border to China. China can manufacture to your so-called western standards if required. They have the machines and skills to that.
BMW, VW-Audi, GM, Ford, Toyota, Nissan, Honda....all made cars in China for local consumption. The end products are just as good as those made in the father/mother lands. So don't knock the Chinese of incapable to making world class components.
