I agree... though GM may have had some influence on the size + cost of the 9-5... possible reasons it wasn't selling (I own a 2004 9-5 + it's perfect, but the new one is too big for me, I'd go 9-3)... nevermind the long shut down which probably didn't help confidence (eg there were no dealers left at the end of the GM shutdown up here in Canada)... GM could have left it a "going concern"...
but the current financing situation should have been addressed way sooner. I think VM assumed Antonov would be cleared, but imho, he probably relied too heavily on Antonov... Saab should have been run more like a start up than it seems to have been (and the first step is to raise adequate capital to fund development/production through to profitability)...
