Yup, pulling it is the best thing you can do for it. Just leave it fully charged to maximize its life. Two months is nothing for storage, so you're better just parking the car (once it's fully warmed up) and forgetting about it until your relatives are back. Here's a little tip for those storage units: assuming it has incandescent lighting, bring a bulb-socket to electrical outlet adapter with you and you can have a plug for any tools, etc. that you need.
