I drive very fast in corners and tire performance is extremely important for me. I hate poor quality tires.

I currently have Primacy MXM4 on my 3er and love them. They are true premium tires and combine excellent comfort, quiet ride and great traction. I had 225/45-17 Bridgestone Turanza ER30 on this car before and that was a surprisingly good tire, but Primacy MXM4 is better. I went to lighter 16" wheels and 205/55-16 size MXM4s on this car and have really enjoyed driving it. It is more fluid, smoother, better handling -- feels more like a Peugeot (106/205/206) than a BMW. Traction in the wet has been terrific, too. I have no doubt that MXM4 are better tires than your OEM Pirellis. You will love them, unless you drive in snow and don't use winter tires.

I have had Primacy MXV4 on my SAAB 900. They are terrific tires and I would recommend them over MXM4 if you want better snow traction and longer life. They are not the quietest tires (MXM4 are slightly quieter, especially when sliding) and the ride is not as serene as some lower traction tires. However, they are still quieter and smoother than non-premium tires like OEM Pirellis. What they offer is truly outstanding wet and slippery road traction. In fact, I think they have better snow traction than many winter tires. Their braking abilities, especially on wet, cold pavement, are second to none. They are long lasting and retain their qualities for most of their useful life, unlike most non-premium tires. I highly recommend them.

In summary, if you live in the south or use winter tires in the winter and like very responsive steering -- go with Primacy MXM4. If you drive on slippery winter roads and don't use winter tires -- definitely go with Primacy MXV4, you will love them in snow. They are slightly softer feeling than MXM4 but are not "Buick tires." In the wet they stick to pavement like glue.
