bath drain question Posted by TML [Email] (#2212) [Profile/Gallery] (more from TML) on Tue, 13 Mar 2012 11:23:01 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
I'm installing a drop in tub which will have an overhead shower. This means there will be a significant distance between the wall and the lip of the tub, where water will splash. I'm going to put a small (maybe 1/2") drain there and slope the tile towards it. The drain will then connect to the overflow drain pipe on the tub. Is there any reason I couldn't use 1/2" PVC conduit? I know it's not designed for it, but 1.25" ABS pipe seems way too big. I first considered clear vinyl tubing, but there's no easy way to connect that to the drain either, and it would be less durable.
