These houses are incredibly complicated and not many can actually do it. If you're looking for something where both you and your wife work you might look into becoming what's called a "domestic couple" (do a search on it). They pay a big premium for live-in couples--the husband typically takes care of outdoor/mechanical things while the wife takes care of everything indoors. The work is a juxtaposition of sometimes menial stuff coupled with huge responsibility--and it's a lot more challenging than it sounds. But if you're good at it's very rewarding. Also try a search on "Estate Manager" and "Household Manager."
