actually, it was quite a nice system from both engineering and end-user points of view, to be honest. And yep, there was an ECU (digital, not analogues one like APC boxes on yearly C900/9K) which drove it and you could even hack it and tune the maps in the firmware. Unfortunately, those mordorian names for those bit and even car which were utilizing it will - most probably - tell you nothing. If in short, it was Lada.
Probably, they licensed (or snatched) it from Bosch or Weber or Magneti-Marelli.
But it was the name 'digital carburetor' which put a smile on me. It's like... a digital tire. Or even a digital injector - even taking into account that injector is driven by a digital computer (as well as the tire, e.g. on Tesla or some jap's Nissan Cube [rear axle]) - it doesn't make that thing being digital. It remains being pure analogues!
