Far too heavy to reach what was claimed for that vehicle. I am not positive even the Corvette from that vintage could achieve 155 MPH, maybe it could.
But a 14 year old Saab with a 2 liter turbo 4-cylinder did what the big V8s couldn't.
The Viggen probably would have turned a 152 or 153 if they had removed the front license plate mount. That 9x12 flat piece of plastic must have hurt the aerodynamics and sucked up HP to push it thru the air at 151 MPH.
