Admittedly I've been spoiled by Saab and VW transverse fours but it's a real nightmare. You could hardly even reach in and touch the coils let alone take them off and get to the plug. The plugs are really deep. My brother had to use a piece of stiff plastic tubing to get the plugs in and get them started and his is a four (in an Outback). The six is much worse and it didn't look much easier from below. I didn't have a hoist when I owned it anyway, and since I deal with mechanical stuff all day I had no inclination to deal with it. That was only one of a bunch of reasons I got rid of it.
