A Californian's observation

I'm not Swedish but I was in Sweden this past summer. I was suprised to see how few SAABs there were in Sweden!
I saw Volvos everywhere in Sweden, but not that many SAABs -- especially in Stockholm. There seemed to be a bit more (proportionally) in the countryside.
I live in Santa Monica, California. Although Santa Monica is not typical of the USA (nor of the rest of California,) I think we have more SAAB's proportionally here than in Sweden.
I was in Sweden for 8-days, and I only saw one "new generation" 900 model. It was in a small town (Marie Fred,) and I saw it parked in the same place for a couple of days.
The rest of the "new generation" models I saw were all 9-3SE's. I made a point of looking at every 9-3 I saw, and they ALL had the SE badge on the side panels, (except for one viggen-like car parked near Berns Hotel in Stockholm that had all its badges removed.)
