I would be taking my wife. She actually had a good time at the convention last year. She bought a load of saab stuff. Shopping is fun for her no matter what she is buying. I think she thinks she is getting these great deals and her eyes light up.
I live in Downingtown, PA 19335 (you can look at Mapquest)
I personally have never driven to Florida, but my friend has family there and he drives to Florida all the time. I think Vero Beach is roughly 17 hours from my house. I probably wouldn't stop for the night. I would prefer to leave my home around 3-4AM, and go straight down, stoping for gas/meals and of course "south of the boarder" I would prefer to eat at nicer resturaunts rather then McDonalds type places. I think the meals would really break up the drive. I figure if we left PA at 3AM, and made 3 1 hour stops, we would arive that night at 11PM. Enough time to hit the bar in FL.
I too considered the auto train, but the price really made me decide on driving.
You live north of me, right? You and your lady are welcome to stay the night before we leave.
Why couldn't this be in Maryland?
