This has always driven me absolutely nuts. I have a week old BLACK 9-5 Aero Wagon sitting in my garage, and I can't wax it for 4 months, according to the owner's manual. I realize that the paint has to cure fully, but I really worry about scratches and environmental damage during those first months.

Does this bother you guys as much as me? When did you finally wax that new machine in your driveway or garage?

Also, I bought the optional "Black Pearl" grill for its fabulous looks, and the first thing I noticed after installing it is that the instructions tell you to wipe it dry every time it gets wet to avoid spotting....then it tells you to NEVER wax it! I live in the wet Northwest. I would run out of dry towels if I tried to dry it every time it got wet, so I waxed it, using a pure carnauba wax. Looks ok to me...

Fooey on senseless instructions.
