Having lived in New Mexico with two 900s I can offer some advice. The exterior color is the critical part. White is the best. White reflects the suns rays very well. The interior color is not of great importance so ling as the windows are tinted. The seats will equilibrate to the interior temperature of the car no matter what the color. How much heat gets into the car from outside depends on the exterior color (emissivity is the physics term) and the window tint. I would have the windows tinted up to the legal maximum.
I had a black 900 with grey leather without special tint, and it got hot. My wife had a bronzit (gold) BMW with grey interior and tinted windows and it was much much cooler.
In general, cloth "feels" cooler than leather when you first sit in. A hot leather seat can really get your attention!
The good thing about NM is that the humidity is low, and since there is little rain you can always leave the windows and sunroof open a little when parked.
