Speeding Ticket!!!

I got nailed by a New York State trooper while heading North/West on I-90 West clocked doing 89 in a 65 zone.
Since this amounts to 6 points on my license, a large fine (I imagine), and an increase in my insurance rates I would like to fight it.
The officer put the incorrect time on the ticket. Using E-Z Pass records I can prove that I was several miles South/East (heading North/West) of the place where the ticket was issued 39 minutes after the time on the ticket.
My question is: will this discrepancy help me in fighting the ticket or is this considered (in New York State) one of those minor things that does not in any way invalidate the ticket?

p.s. I will be getting a radar detector to try and avoid this sort of thing in the future and I was wondering if anybody knows the commonly used radar bands in NY, NJ, CT, and PA where i do most of my driving?
