Was a nice day and I took a ride with my girlfriend.
Still had my Integrale then, and that
car was a gas hog if you started going
fast. Anyways this dude in a Golf GTI 16V
passes me and I decide to give him a lesson.
Great idea... cause with less then a 1/4 tank
of fuel I did run out in about 3 minutes after
I had passed him big time. ... and he passed me
again with a big smile in his face ... LOL
Girlfriend was anoyed... "You raced away our fuel..." LOL
turned out that after venting
the fuel tank I was able to restart the car and
to drive downhill to a fuel station.
Since then I always fill my car up before I start a little drive.
In any case I no longer race people as before cause I simply
think it is not worth the risk, nor for me nor for the other driver.
My old Integrale would get around 7-8 Mpg while going fast,
rather thirsty for a 2.0L Turbo.
Regards,
Coolknight
