Never been to Riyadh per say but, I have spent some time in that part of the world. I'm in the military and so, how else would one think I got there. I spent 200 days in Daharan on two seperate . This was back in 1995 and 1996. What a way to spent 2 summers in a row. Have know people that did go to the location that you are about to visit. It's pretty much the same as I have gathered form conversations with others. Also, I was able to spend 2 weeks during on of the summers in Bahrain (spelling?), It's a small island right on th coast and the only place a guy can go if he would like to enjoy a stiff drink everynow and then. Lots of clubs there as well. Again, this is the only place to go to have a drink if you want to. The rest of the other counries in that area are dry. I also spent about a year in Kuwait when added up over the amount of summers I spent there as well. The sumers of 1998, 1999, 2000, 2001 were all spent in that area. Descent place to visit but, it gets old after being there as many times as I have. I even had the pleasure of being in a plane crash at KCIA (Kuwait City International Airport) in 1999. Glad I made it through that one, three other didn't. God bless them. In all I think it a descent place to visit but, I think living ther isn't something that I'd be interested in. If your a singal guy then man you can forget it, talk about social life going down the drain... That's probably why I couldn't do it, I like to have fun alot but, that's me. If this is your way to advance yourself in this world, then go ahead. Just think about all the other areas of your life that may degrade while there. If you can give them up and pay that price, go right ahead and help yourself. I couldn't do it. Take care.. Phil
