Deer are my biggest problem

Rarely does a day go by when I don't see deer on the side of the road. In fact, when I took my (now) wife home after our first date, there was a huge doe standing on her parent's front porch, happily dining on the shrubbery (I'm fighting an urge to insert Monry Pyton references here). We passed the time until it decided to leave. There's about 8 wild turkeys who frequent her parent's yard too - pretty cool.
Now I can usually count on seeing the same herd(? - what is a group of deer called?) by the side of the road at the same time every day on my commute. And during mating/hunting season there was a fresh roadkill deer carcass on the side of the road (or splattered all across it) almost every day :( Fortunately I've never been involved in a car-deer wreck.
On the topic of moose, who can forget the (in)famous moose-avoidance test the M-B A Class failed?
