I just bought a DVD player (replaced a Sony 1.5 yrs old) from BB and I got the same sales pitch. I knew it was coming, esp. after they learned I was replacing a broken one. The sales guy hit me up for it, then left. I grabbed the box, went to the register and they hit you up for the warranty AGAIN there!!. One of the reasons I avoid BB if possible, but they do have decent prices. I knew someone who works for some type of consumer protection agency in GA and he said they get more complaints about BB than any other store. Also, its been published that BB (and other stores) make more $$ from selling the warranties than they do actually selling the products. I bought the warranty once, on a cell phone, and about 1.5 yrs into the 2 yr warranty the phone started acting up, battery dying quickly, like they all do. So, "I paid for the warranty" I thought, and "the guy told me even if I have a piece of the phone it's replaceable", so I put it under my car tire and ran over it!!Took it into the store, got a brand new one. Hey, I got my $$ worth.
