These quotes are giving me the chills:

Since it will only be a Saab superficially, it would also have the crash worthiness of the Imprezza. NOT exactly impressive :(
I also agree with the article's statements, that a project like this could do severe long term damage to Saab's image. It dilutes the brand, and will make people think all Saabs are just rebadged Opels and Subaru's. Saab has enough stigma to fight as it is.
Instead of this half-assed approach, GM should put some real money into Saab so it can develop it's own 9-2 or maybe just a joint project like the epsilon. You can't turn Saab around without spending money on making more and better models.
