BMW just bumped the residuals a month or two ago. I think it was to combat slow sales by knocking down lease prices.
*Personally* I'm not sure I'd get into an EV right this second. With the Bolt coming online shortly, followed by the Model 3, followed by the revised i3 and VW's new EV, "long range" EVs will be normal next year. Costs will *apparently* stay pretty level (that $25k-$45k range) and you net much longer range. Personally, I'd aim for that.
Coming off our 500e, I think that's the one I'd do again. The combo of tiny footprint and 90 mile range makes for a superbly convenient car. Eliminating all the future long-range options, I think my two choices would probably be the i3 or the Focus. I think. :)
