Enjoy the new car, sounds good. I fully understand your not wanting to pay the freight for a Tesla, but I’ll just make one comment regarding your “can’t make a 600 mile trip” point. No, you can’t make a 600 mile trip without stopping in a Tesla. But the few times I’ve had to charge my Y on the road, I’ve found it very convenient. The nav system recommends a recharging spot, and tells you the slots open and the amenities available. You can charge up to 200 miles in 15 minutes, during which you just leave the car there and can generally walk across the parking lot to get a sandwich, coffee, use the restroom, etc. These are things I’d do anyway on a long trip, and the process is certainly quicker than stopping at a freeway service area. So I don’t see range as much of an issue. YMMV (so to speak)
