best friend has an '88 Legend LS sedan fully loaded. I'm not fond of the body style but a pretty good car. She bought it with 80k in 2001 and it now has 117k. The previous owner bought it new in '88 and hardly drove it, obviously. It received a new auto tranny at around 100k and new a/c guts (dunno what exactly) at 115k. She also drives a 1993 Legend LS sedan which I much prefer. Bought that one with 60k 2 years ago and now it's approaching 100k..not one single issue with that one and it's feels, looks, and drives like brand new.
I owned a 1994 Acura Vigor GS...fantastic car. Drove that for awhile, sold it with 83k miles 4 years ago, no issues ever. Saw it 2 months ago for sale at a local grocery store and it had 160k miles. I knew it was mine because the green paint was touched up with blue by the owner before me..what an idiot but easy to spot my old car. I was curious so called the same owner I had sold it to. They had 1 problem with the car- had to replace the radiator. Selling it to purchase a new TL.
I'd say get the new version, which is 1991 thru 1995 or try the Vigor. Awesome 5 cylinder engine.
Good luck.
