So you're looking for something more fun...how about:
- Mazda: The Speed6 looks good on paper. I'm not a fan of the looks but it's turbo-charged, AWD, and moderately reliable.
- The Subaru Legacy GT and GT spec.B: Yup, they're everywhere (assuming you consider the Outback and Legacy the same car) but theres a reason for that; they're reliable and practical. The GT and spec.B are pretty fun to drive. Moderate update for the 2008.
- Volvo? What about an S60R or a V70R?
- Saab 9-7: In V8 form, it wouldn't be slow. In my opinion, it's one of the better large SUVs out there. Too many SUVs are over styled any more (Acura, BMW). The 9-7 is simple but nice.
- Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT8: While I don't recommend it, it would be fun. It's absolute junk and growing up I had toys made of higher quality plastic than the material used on the interior of Jeeps, but come on...420 hp.
