I have not posted on the board for very long time. I need some help with an auto decision. I have owned 3 SAABS in the past 30yrs; '86 900 T, new (for 15 yrs), '97 9000 Aero, used (for 6 yrs) & my current '02 95 Aero (for 13 yrs). I took the 9000 to Germany & also got the 95 when I was living there. They are wonderful cars at speed. I now live in San Diego & will retire from the DoD in 4 mons. I have not had a good time w/ my 95 while living here & want to get another car for my retirement. I am interested in a 2015 S80 T6 Premier Plus that I can get now. It has a number of options that I like very much, as well as the safety factor of Swedish cars. The price is also reasonable, but is higher than I had planned to spend.

My problem is getting the Volvo vs another vehicle. My wife has a Lexus ES350 which is now our travel car, etc. I was considering a used model, but yesterday found the S80. I want to know if you all like Volvos as an option to our SAABs. Particularly, I need info on reliability, cost for ongoing care, long term life, etc. My wife likes the car much better than she did my SAABs. This was a surprise to me, but hey.

I hope my questions for you all makes sense. I would really like your input. Thank you in advance.
