I have and contuine to do. Heat cracks the turbo. I think we agree on that. Spikes of heat or heat over the long term is the question. Hard to tell. I can tell you I have installed a pre turbo cooler and it seemed to reduce the temp at the turbo by 40 to 80 degrees. Given the days that I tested were at 80 to 85 degree days. So I do try and go by the data. Collecting that data as you may know can be tricky. But you do the best you can.
The turbo I pulled off my car (before the cooler was installed) was leaking air passed it. (Large crack) I do plan at some point going with a KCbrad H2O system. (big bucks)
Can you help me understand what this means "i run 175% stock psi reliably" oil, boost, what??
btw, junk parts are sometimes just as good as new parts. They have just been tested for a while! ;-)
